In an effort to foster a stronger culture of reading and build peaceful communities throughout the state, the Subsecretaría de Cultura of Colima has partnered with the Fondo de Cultura Económica (FCE) to host the “Gran Venta Nocturna 2026.” Scheduled for Thursday, September 3, the event will take place at two locations: the “Miguel de la Madrid Hurtado” bookstore and the bookstore at the Museo Palacio de Colima.

Attendees can look forward to significant discounts of up to 50% on books from more than 30 participating publishers. Beyond the book sale, the event is designed to be an immersive cultural experience for all ages. The program will feature a variety of activities, including presentations of books by local authors, staged narrations, and free workshops. While the full schedule is expected to be released in the coming weeks, the organizers emphasize that this initiative is a crucial step in promoting literacy and community connection across the state.
