Comala, the “White Town of America,” is renowned for its rich gastronomy, where traditional cuisine has been kept alive through generations. Its emblematic dishes, such as tatemado and fruit punches, have made this Magical Town at the foot of the Volcán de Fuego (Volcano of Fire) a culinary landmark in Mexico.
The fusion of local ingredients with inherited recipes has positioned Comala as a must-see destination for those seeking an authentic experience.
One of the places that offers traditional dishes is the restaurant La Haciendita, a must-visit on your trip to Comala. Its kitchen preserves the tradition of Mexican flavors: red pozole, menudo, sopes, gorditas, fresh fish from the pond, and local coffee. Dishes prepared with fresh ingredients and that homemade touch that tastes like home, accompanied by a country atmosphere where the afternoon mist transforms each meal into a magical scene.
