The second edition of La Gran Escapada 2026, an initiative of the Confederation of National Chambers of Commerce, Services and Tourism (Concanaco Servytur) and the Mexican Ministry of Tourism to strengthen domestic tourism, yielded positive results for the state of Colima, generating an estimated economic impact of over 206 million pesos and involving 101 tourism establishments.

This strategy was supported by the Government of the State of Colima, led by Governor Indira Vizcaíno Silva, through the Undersecretariat of Tourism (Subsectur), which promoted the incorporation of tourism businesses and service providers into this national platform and reaffirmed its commitment to continue supporting initiatives that boost the tourism services sector.

Colima’s offerings stood out for their integration of sun and beach experiences, nature, adventure, and family tourism, with the participation of service providers in the municipalities of Manzanillo, Comala, and Colima. Additionally, 53% of the promotions were marketed through mixed channels, strengthening the digital presence of the state’s tourism sector. Nationwide, La Gran Escapada brought together 6,557 establishments across all 32 states and generated an economic impact of 44 billion pesos.
