Throughout May and June, Colima will celebrate inclusion and freedom. Amidst beaches, charming towns, and traditional gastronomy, the destination invites locals and visitors to join the 2026 LGBT+ Pride Marches—a series of events aimed at raising visibility for the struggle for sexual diversity rights and fostering spaces of respect, expression, and community.

This year, the marches also serve as an invitation to explore Colima from a unique perspective: a journey that blends activism, culture, and nature across four of the state’s most representative municipalities.
Activities will kick off on Saturday, May 30, in Tecomán, where the march will take place at 5:30 PM under the slogan: “Under the Sun of Tecomán, All Families Shine.” The route will begin on Insurgentes Avenue and conclude at the López Mateos pedestrian walkway. Upon its conclusion, the organizing committee will read its official statement, followed by cultural activities and the crowning of Luis Torres and Jimena Nicolás as the 2026 Pride Royalty.

Later that evening, at 9:30 PM, the “Pride Party” will be held at Rancho Ferreira, featuring live music and professional drag and transvestite art performances. In addition to soaking up the festive atmosphere and the energy of the marching contingent, visitors can take advantage of their trip to discover the beaches of Boca de Pascuales and El Real—renowned for their surf breaks and their significance within the surfing community.

The celebrations will continue on Saturday, June 6, in Armería, with the march departing at 5:30 PM from the Municipal Hall plaza. Guided by the theme “Our families are as diverse as our colors, and all shine with pride,” this municipality will lead attendees on a journey to discover one of the state’s most iconic coastal destinations: Cuyutlán. Before the march begins, we suggest experiencing the Ruta de la Sal (Salt Route), strolling along the black-sand beaches, and reveling in the laid-back atmosphere. Pride returns to the coast on Saturday, June 13, in Manzanillo, where the march will set off at 5:00 p.m. from the Las Brisas area under the message: “Families that love diversity are happy families.” The port city offers an ideal setting to blend celebration with relaxation. Visitors can enjoy oceanfront sunsets, fresh seafood, and vibrant nightlife.

Finally, the state capital, Colima, will bring this Pride season to a close on Saturday, June 20, at 5:00 p.m., starting from the AutoZone on Camino Real under the slogan: “My family marches with me.” This final stop will allow visitors to explore the historic city center, cool off with a traditional tuba drink topped with peanuts, and discover local products.

Thus, the 2026 LGBT+ Pride Marches in Colima will be much more than just a festivity: they represent an opportunity to travel, connect, and discover the state through diversity, culture, and community spirit.
