Six alleged criminals were killed in a shootout with members of the Navy (Semar) and the State Preventive Police (PEP) in the community of Puerta de Anzar, municipality of Colima.
According to the preliminary report of the State Government’s Public Security Secretariat (SSP), the agents were carrying out a routine patrol in the aforementioned community when they were attacked with bullets.
The agents took cover and repelled the attack, managing to kill six people.
No deaths or injuries were reported on the part of the official corporations.
The Attorney General’s Office has begun investigations to identify those killed and clarify the events.
